KATHMANDU. Aug 10: Nepal’s first animated feature film ‘Shankhadhar Yaa Baakha’ (The Legend of Shankhadhar) has released a promotional music video. The music video was simultaneously released in Nepal, UK and USA.
The film written, produced and directed by Sanyukta Shrestha, tells the story of national hero Shankhadar Sakhwa who initiated the Nepal Sambat calendar. Bishwo Shashi and Ganga Thapa have given the music for the video that features the voice of Nisha Deshar. The lyrics are penned by the director.

At the launch event, culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi said that the movie is important for Nepal as it depicts Nepal’s cultural
heritage.
The movie will be released in November of this year on the occasion of Nepal Sambat New Year.
