Nepal’s death tally reaches 11,028 with 16 new deaths recorded on Saturday

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Nepal recorded 1,066 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 1,234 recoveries and 16 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). With this, Nepal’s death tally has reached 11,028

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Nepal recorded 1,066 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 1,234 recoveries and 16 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). With this, Nepal’s death tally has reached 11,028.



As many as 11,385 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them, 8,540 PCR and 2,818 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

There are currently 23,636 people in home isolation, 1446 in institutional isolation, 389 in ICU’s and 121 on ventilators.


In addition to this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal is 783,910 while 747,800 have been recovered till date. Similarly, 11,028 have succumbed to death due to the coronavirus.
