Nepal reports 419 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The country has recorded a total of 419 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The country has recorded a total of 419 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection in the past 24 hours.



With this, the coronavirus tally in the country reached 261,438 till January 2, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Likewise, the Ministry said that 750 people got recovered from the virus. So far, the number of recovery cases reached 253,857.


At present, the country has a total of 5,711 reported active cases. Of them, 367 are in quarantine facilities. Similarly, six more people succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total deaths due to COVID-19 reached 1,870 in the country till Saturday.
