KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepal Press Union has urged the government to bring immediate special economic relief package for media houses and journalists.



Issuing a press release on Monday, the president of NPU Badri Sigdel urged the government to arrange personal protective equipment (PPE) who are in field reporting every day.

He also suggested the media houses and reporters publish authentic and fact-based news only.


Various media houses have already been closed and journalists have hit hard due to the nationwide lockdown imposed by the government as a precaution against a viral outbreak of COVID-19.
