Nepal beats Pakistan 1-0 in a friendly football match on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Nepal defeated Pakistan by 1-0 in the international friendly football match being held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Nepal defeated Pakistan by 1-0 in the international friendly football match being held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Wednesday.



Anjan Bista hit a single goal for Nepal at 83 minutes of the match, taking the country to the victory. This is the first international match of Pakistan after FIFA lifted a 15-month suspension against Pakistan Football Federation.

Nepal and Pakistan had competed in 16 matches. Nepal won over Pakistan only in four matches and was defeated in seven matches and witnessed a tie in five matches. 


Nepal last played against Pakistan in 2018. Nepal was defeated 1-2 in the match held in Dhaka, Bangladesh under the SAFF Championship.
