KATHMANDU, July 31: Nepal-Bangladesh friendship art exhibition began on Tuesday at the exhibition hall of Nepal Art Council located in Babarmahal, Kathmandu.
Bangladeshi Ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams inaugurated the exhibition entitled ‘fraternity’.
Speaking as the Chief Guest on the exhibition program, the envoy Shams expressed her faith that the exhibition would further strengthen and promote friendship between Nepal and Bangladesh.

She opined that cultural similarity between the two countries would help them strengthen their relation. She also highlighted the need for the continuity of such an exhibition.
The Chancellor of Nepal Fine Arts Academy KK Karmacharya expressed his gratitude to Bangladeshi Charur Friends Artist Group(an organization of the artists from Nepal and Bangladesh) for organizing the exhibition.
On the occasion, he also said that the exhibition would serve as a platform where the artists of two countries can exchange art related knowledge, skills and experiences with each other.
The program was chaired by Taimur Hannaan, Bangladeshi artist and coordinator of Charur Friends Artist Group. He said that he was excited about the event. “I am going to organize another art exhibition in New Delhi, India where the artists from Nepal, Bangladesh and India will participate,” said Hannaan.
The coordinator of exhibition Ranju Yadav had delivered welcome speech on the occasion.
The art works by eleven Nepali and twelve Bangladeshi artists are being displayed on the four-day exhibition.
Five Bangladeshi artists are taking part in the exhibition that will conclude on Friday.
