JANAKPURDHAM, Oct 4: The sacrificial program at the Rajdevi temple in Janakpurdham is over. The sacrifice started from 8 PM on Monday and lasted until 3:53 AM on Tuesday.
This year, 14,941 goats were sacrificed at the temple. Thousands of devotees had been queuing up with their goats since noon on Monday for sacrifice.

For scarifying goats this year, four shrines were kept at the temple. Volunteers were mobilized in groups of 10 for each location. In one place, six goats were sacrificed, leading to the sacrifice of upto 24 goats every minute.
Last year, 14,366 goats were sacrificed at the Rajdevi temple.
