NCP lawmakers close to rival faction reach President's Office demanding special session of parliament

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: A group of lawmakers belonging to the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has reached the President's Office in Shital Niwas, demanding a special session of the parliament.

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: A group of lawmakers belonging to the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has reached the President's Office in Shital Niwas, demanding a special session of the parliament.



The NCP lawmakers reaching the President’s Office include Bhim Rawal and Pampha Bhusal. The lawmakers close to the rival faction in the party plan to submit a letter seeking a special session of the federal parliament.

The letter contains signatures of more than 80 lawmakers from the NCP who are close to Executive Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.


Sources said the President's Office, however, has refused to register the letter.
