NC unveils 11 decisions of its CWC meeting

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: The meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of Nepali Congress (NC), which lasted for three days, took 11 decisions.

The NC has decided that the issue of transitional justice should be decided on the basis of common consensus of all. Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, head of the Information, Communication and Publicity Department of the NC, said that the party meeting emphasized that there should be no delay in bringing justice to the people and families affected by the armed conflict.


Similarly, while selecting candidates for the National Assembly elections, it has been decided to give preference to those who have not yet had the opportunity or who have been deprived of the opportunity due to various reasons. According to the decision of NC, ‘among the names that have been recommended by the provincial working committee, those who have contributed to the party by paying attention to the geographical and ethnic regional balance, who have the ability to contribute in the parliamentary area, who have a clean image committed to the party and who have not yet received any opportunity or who have been deprived of opportunities due to various reasons and popular people will be prioritized.’


NC CWC meeting has decided to extend the term of six fraternal organizations. The meeting extended the terms of Nepal Students Union, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women Association, Nepal Farmers Federation, Nepal Federation of indigenous Nationalities and Nepal Democratic Sports Association by six months. Bishwokarma, Head of Publicity Department, said that the deadline has been extended to hold the convention.


Similarly, the NC CWC meeting has also approved the date of the General Committee meeting. The meeting decided to hold a general committee meeting from February 19 to 22.
