NC to allow Home Minister Lamichhane to speak in parliament

KATHMANDU, May 10: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has decided to allow Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to address parliament.

KATHMANDU, May 10: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has decided to allow Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to address parliament.



During NC’s Parliamentary Party meeting that convened on Friday morning, it was decided to allow Lamichhane to speak during the upcoming budget session commencing today.

In the preceding session, the NC had staged a protest in parliament, demanding the formation of a probe committee to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in misappropriating cooperative funds.


The budget sessions of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly are commencing today.
