NC obstructs parliament(with video)

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Lawmakers of the main opposition party Nepali Congress are currently obstructing the proceeding in the House of Representatives.

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Lawmakers of the main opposition party Nepali Congress are currently obstructing the proceeding in the House of Representatives.



The NC lawmakers are picketing the rostrum of the House demanding an investigation over Banke incident, in which NCP cadres assaulted the NC district members including Banke district president Kiran Koirala during a public awareness program.

As soon as the house session began,  the lawmaker from NCP Nandalal Roka Chhetri defended those who were involved in the assault of Congress cadres in Banke the last week. Subsequently,  the NC lawmakers protested against the government by rising from their seats.


The NC lawmakers picketed the rostrum after the speaker did not allow them to speak over the Banke incident while protesting against the remarks of Lawmaker Chhetri.
