KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The Mahasamiti meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) has been postponed.
Leader Bimalendra Nidhi said that the meeting of the Central Work Performance Committee held on Friday decided to defer the Mahasamiti meeting for February 19 to 22.

Earlier, the NC had called the Mahasamiti meeting for December 29. Leader Nidhi said that the meeting decided to postpone the Mahasamiti meeting as the National Assembly elections will also be held around the same time.
The meeting also decided to register the party in the Election Commission (EC) for the National Assembly elections and endorsed the letter presented to the candidates by President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Nidhi said that the party's Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel was authorized to handle party registration with the EC and other tasks during the meeting.
