NC leader Koirala taken ill

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashank Koirala has taken ill during an election publicity campaign on Sunday. He has been admitted to the Old Medical College in Chitwan.

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashank Koirala has taken ill during an election publicity campaign on Sunday. He has been admitted to the Chitwan Medical College.



Leader Koirala, a candidate from constituency no. 1 of Nawalparasi Purba, suffered dizziness while he was taking part in a program organized at Amarapuri.

Resident Director of the Hospital Dr Manohar Pradhan, said that there was a short supply of blood in Koirala's brain. It is called TIA in medical terms. There is no need to panic as other examinations are also underway, Dr Pradhan added.


Leader Koirala is receiving treatment at the observation ward of the Hospital.
