NC expresses sorrow over Varanasi stampede

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the Varanasi stampede where a total of 24 people were killed and more than two dozen injured.

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the Varanasi stampede where a total of 24 people were killed and more than two dozen injured. 



A statement issued by NC President Deuba on Sunday said NC extends heartfelt condolences over the death of the people in the stampede that occurred during a religious procession in the Indian state of Varanasi on Saturday. 



"Nepali Congress also expresses sympathy to the deceased's families," the statement said, wishing the speedy recovery of the injured ones. RSS
