KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed serious concern over the stabbing of the party’s ward chairperson, Thar Bahadur Sahi along with four others in Aatbiskot Municipality-9 in Rukum Paschim with Knife on Tuesday.
According to a press statement issued by the NC, a group of people including Kesharman BK, ward chairman of ward number 3, and Man Bahadur Chadara, ward chairperson of ward number 8 of Aatbiskoth Municipality attacked Sahi and four others during an interaction program held on Tuesday.

Ward chairperson BK and Chadara are considered close to the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
Three others including Chairperson Sahi, Tej Bikram Arsi and Dipak KC have sustained severe injuries in the incident. The injured persons are currently undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj and Aatbiskoth Hospital.
NC has asked the government to take strict action against those involved in attacking the NC cadres and provide proper treatment to the injured persons.
