  • Ganesh Timilsina (Chairperson, National Assembly): 6 years




  • Khim Lal Bhattarai: 6 years




  • Komal Oli: 4 years




  • Yubaraj Khatiwada (Minister for Finance): 2 years




  • Sarita Prasai: 2 years




KATHMANDU, June 18: National Assembly members are betting their tenure on luck through lottery method at the Federal Parliament at New Baneshwor.

Of the total 59 NA members, 19 will have tenure of two years, 20 will have tenure of four years and the rest will have six years time.


As per constitutional provision, the NA will have the full term of six years and the vacant posts would be elected on a regular basis.


Of the 59 members, 56 were elected from seven provinces, eight each from a province. The remaining three were nominated by the President on the recommendation of the government.
