KATHMANDU, June 18: Anil Malla Thakuri, a journalist with Nagarik Daily, has been bereaved of his father, Dal Bahadur Malla Thakuri, who passed away at 12:20 AM on Monday. He was 85. According to Malla’s family, he was receiving treatment at the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for a trauma injury. He was admitted to the hospital three days ago after his health condition deteriorated.
He is survived by his wife Lalita Malla Thakuri, two daughters Anita and Sushila, and sons Anil and Sunil.

Anita informed that Anil, currently in the United States for the news coverage of the T20 World Cup, will perform the last rites of Dal Bahadur at Pashupati Aryaghat upon his return. Dal Bahadur's body is currently kept at the Teaching Hospital.
