MoFAGA instructs employees of earthquake-affected districts not to take immediate leave

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: The employees of the earthquake-affected districts have been directed not to take leave for the time being. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) issued a statement on Saturday and instructed the Chief Administrative Officer and other employees working at the local level in the earthquake-affected districts not to take immediate leave.

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: The employees of the earthquake-affected districts have been directed not to take leave for the time being. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) issued a statement on Saturday and instructed the Chief Administrative Officer and other employees working at the local level in the earthquake-affected districts not to take immediate leave.



"If the Chief Administrative Officers and other employees working in the local bodies of the earthquake-affected districts are on leave, they should report to their offices as soon as possible and work on their duties and not stay on leave immediately," the statement said.

The officials of the MoFAGA said that the earthquake that measured 6.4 on the Richter scale, which had its epicenter at Ramidanda located in Barekot Rural Municipality-1 of Jajarkot, caused a lot of human casualties and loss of property in Jajarkot, Rukum West and Salyan districts.


The ministry has further urged all local authorities, officials, and local body employees in the affected districts to engage in the search and identification of earthquake victims, provide relief and rescue for the injured, deliver healthcare services, and address other essential aspects of disaster management.
