Miss Nepal Earth 2022, Sarisha Shrestha has initiated a campaign for planting 15,000 trees by 200 saplings at Dhulikhel based Recreational Park on Friday morning.
The program was organized by Dhulikhel Municipality. In the program, Shrestha said that she will be involved in saving the environment and will address the issue of Nepal’s environmental degradation through the Miss Earth platform.
Dhulikhel Mayor Ashok Kumar Banju also planted the saplings along with Shrestha and said that he would provide 100,000 saplings to the community.
This program marks Shrestha’s first social work after winning the title of Miss Nepal Earth 2022. The program was implemented by the UK at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow last year.
