KATHMANDU, March 10: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Bhagwati Chaudhary, has decided to cancel her scheduled visit to the United States of America.
Although the first meeting of the new Council of Ministers held on March 7 had approved the visit, Minister Chaudhary’s visit has been canceled.

Minister Chaudhary was scheduled to attend the 68th session of the 'Commission on the Status of Women' being held in New York under the auspices of the United Nations on Monday and Tuesday.
However, it is said that Minister Chaudhary’s visit was canceled as Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is preparing to seek a vote of confidence in parliament soon.
Following the cancellation of the minister's visit, a delegation led by the ministry's secretary, Suman Raj Aryal, departed for New York.
