MCC deal will be passed after reaching consensus among all parties: NC leader Pariyar

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Nepali Congress (NC) Joint-General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar has said that the US-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement will only be implemented in the country after an agreement is reached among the ruling parties.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Nepali Congress (NC) Joint-General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar has said that the US-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement will only be implemented in the country after an agreement is reached among the ruling parties. 



Talking to media persons in Pokhara, Pariyar said that the NC will move ahead with the proposal of MCC after reaching an agreement with all the political parties for its implementation.

“Any provision in the MCC agreement that can harm Nepal should be removed. Our party is very committed to that. If there are any weaknesses, the NC will move forward by removing those words and points and passing them through parliament in consultation with all the parties,” Pariyar said.
