KATHMANDU, April 13: Balendra Shah, mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has challenged the authorities to move Singha Durbar to another municipality.
Writing a status on social media, Mayor Shah said that if the government does not work for the benefit of Kathmandu, Singha Durbar should be moved to another municipality.

He has written, “Either work for the benefit of Kathmandu, or move the Singha Durbar to another municipality. We, the residents of Kathmandu, have no objection, whether you move the Singha Durbar or move the capital. We need our heritage, culture, art, civilization, not politics.”
Mayor Shah has been complaining that the federal government is not supporting the Kathmandu Metropolis.
