Maoist Center still lags behind UML in the mayoral race of Bharatpur Metropolis

CHHITWAN, May 17: UML mayoral candidate Devi Gyawali continues to take the lead in the race for the mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City with 6735 votes, compared to 4987 votes garnered by his closest rival Maoist Center mayoral candidate Renu Dahal.

CHHITWAN, May 18: UML mayoral candidate Devi Gyawali continues to take the lead in the race for the mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City with 6735 votes, compared to 4987 votes garnered by his closest rival Maoist Center mayoral candidate Renu Dahal.

Gyawali is leading Dahal by 1748 votes.


There are 29 wards in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Altogether 1,12,000 votes have been cast in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Vote counting has concluded in Ward 1, 2 and 3 only. Vote counting in Ward 4 is underway now.
