KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Police have arrested a man from Siraha who allegedly made an obscene video of a woman and started blackmailing her for sex.
A team of police deployed from the Area Police Office, Kalyanpur, apprehended 20-year-old Ajay Mahara from Kalyanpur Municipality-4 on the charge of making an obscene video of a 22-year-old woman.
Two held for rape and extortion attempt
According to a press release issued by Nepal Police headquarters, Mahara filmed the video of a sexual intercourse between the woman and one 23-year-old Jitan Ram, a resident of the same municipality, and started blackmailing her for sex by showing her the same video.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Mahara recently.
Jitan Ram, the other accused of the case, is still at large and police have launched a search operation to nab him.
