KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Police have arrested a person on the charge of character assassination of a woman through social media.
Kiran Thapa, 27, of Shivapuri Rural Municipality-4, Nuwakot, was arrested following a complaint filed against him by the victim. The accused reportedly sent intimate photos and videos taken while he was in a relationship with the woman to her family members through Facebook messenger, following their break up.

According to the Nepal Police central news room, the accused was arrested from Gongabu, Kathmandu, for an investigation into the complaint by the Cyber Bureau team of Nepal Police.
