DHANUSHA, July 6: Chief Minister of Madhes Province Satish Kumar Singh received the vote of confidence on Saturday. Chief Minister Singh received 67 votes of the total 101 votes cast.
Likewise, 34 votes from Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Nepal Sanghiya Samajwadi Party were cast against the confidence motion in the province assembly meeting.

The provincial assembly members from Janamat Party, CPN (UML), Nepali Congress, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party backed the chief minister's confidence motion.
