Madan Bhandari Foundation announced the name of the 'Madan Bhandari Rastriya Puraskar' recipient for this year.

According to the press statement released by Madan Bhandari Foundation on Monday, veteran artist, Hari Prasad Sharma, will be honored for his contribution in revealing history via realistic paintings using water and oil color. The award is scheduled to be handed on Thursday, on the occasion of the 67th birth anniversary of popular leader late Madan Bhandari.
Recipient Sharma will be honored with a cash prize of Rs 100,000 along with a certificate. The list of honorees in the past includes personalities like Dr Bagawan Koirala, Mahabir Pun, Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire.
