According to the Secretariat of the Provincial Assembly, today's assembly meeting is likely to discuss the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24 presented by the Minister of Economic Affairs of Lumbini province Dhan Bahadur Maskey.

Earlier, a meeting was called to discuss the budget on June 25. But the meeting was adjourned after the ruling party MPs expressed dissatisfaction over the budget.

They protested saying that Chief Minister Dilli Chaudhary and Finance Minister Maskey had brought a self-centered budget and demanded that the budget be amended.

In Lumbini, the provincial government brought a budget worth Rs 40.48 billion on June 16.
