Lumbini to host 'Peace Marathon' on April 6

BUTWAL, March 22: The Lumbini Province Government has scheduled the first ' Peace Marathon' in Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, on April 6. 

The provincial government will be organizing the event in collaboration with the Nepal Olympic Committee on April 6 coinciding with International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP).

According to the Council, Lumbini Province, a meeting concluded in Butwal decided to organize the event along with other various sports competitions for the motivation of athletes. The meeting, realizing the prompt need to promote sports in the province, decided to run programs targeting the sports sector.
