BUTWAL, Oct 17: Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Lumbini Province, Baijanath Chaudhary has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Chaudhary, who is also the spokesperson for the Lumbini Province Government, was diagnosed with the viral disease through a PCR test carried out on Friday.

Along with Minister Chaudhary, his wife, personal security guard, driver and cook also tested positive.
Earlier, 35 persons including provincial assembly Speaker Purna Bahadur Gharti, Deputy Speaker Krishni Tharu, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Kul Prasad KC, provincial assembly members, staffers and security personnel were found to have contracted the virus.
