Leftist govt not possible: Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Chairman of the CPN (United Socialist)  party, Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the left-wing parties alone cannot form the next government.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Chairman of the CPN (United Socialist)  party, Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the left-wing parties alone cannot form the next government.



Speaking at the party's felicitation program for MPs elected from the party, he said that even though there are rumors that the left-wing parties would unite to form a government, that was not possible.

He also said that the issue of forming a left-wing government is only a matter of confusing the people.


Saying that there was a telephone conversation between him and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the issue of government formation was also discussed, he said that only after the discussion with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will the equation of government formation be decided.
