Leaders announce formation of Socialist Front

KATHMANDU, June 19: Leaders of the  ruling parties along with the once banned Maoist outfit have come together to form the Socialist Front Nepal.

KATHMANDU, June 19: Leaders of the  ruling parties along with the once banned Maoist outfit have come together to form the Socialist Front Nepal. 



The leaders announced the formation of the Socialist Front Nepal amid a formal program at the City Hall on Monday.

The front came into existence with the signing of the MoU by Prime Minister and (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal and CPN General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand.


After the signing of the MoU by the leaders, JSP senior leader Rajendra Shrestha read out the agreement letter.


Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Baburam Bhattarai was not present at the announcement event.
