Leader Singh demands govt to ensure fair elections

KATHMANDU, August 26: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh has asked the government to work toward ensuring free and fair elections.

KATHMANDU, August 26: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh has asked the government to work toward ensuring free and fair elections.



Addressing the 27th Memorial Day of Mangaladevi Singh held in Kathmandu on Friday, Singh stressed that the upcoming election to be held on November 20 should be fair and free. He said that the NC conducted the previous elections honestly and since the government is still under the leadership of the NC, the government should strive to conduct elections in a free and fair manner.

Singh said that the new government after the election should focus on securing and institutionalizing the rights given by the constitution and making life and livelihood easier for citizens. He said that the NC will embark on a campaign of economic revolution and prosperity in the coming days.
