The agitating lawyers have staged a sit-in at the Supreme Court premises with black armbands on their hands. Today is also the last day of the five-day ultimatum set by them for Chief Justice Rana to step down from the post.

Alleging that Chief Justice Rana was not able to maintain the dignity of the judiciary, the NBA has been staging an hour-long sit-in protest demanding Rana’s resignation since Sunday (October 31). The NBA has decided to announce additional protest programs if Chief Justice Rana failed to step down by today evening.
