KAVRE, Nov 18: Kathmandu University is all set to organize 10th International Conference on Human Rights Education on its premises in Dhulikhel in the second week of December, the organizer said.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is going to inaugurate the conference being held from December 11 to 12 under the theme "Human Rights in Academic Excellence, Technology and Artificial Intelligence". The conference coincides with the World Human Rights Day that falls on December 10.

There will be separate discussions on various topics such as human rights in academic institutions, human rights in Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030, human rights and culture, human rights in good governance, peace process and justice during the two-day conference, the organizer stated.
During the conference, experts from various countries including Nepal, Bangladesh United States, Australia and Bangladesh will participate. People from various walks of life including representatives of human rights organizations, academicians, politicians, educationists, civil society members and bureaucrats will join the event.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony of the conference. KU will host the conference in partnership with Western Sydney University.
