KOSEP provides $100,000 for support of flood survivors

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) has contributed US$ 100,000, around Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund for support of people affected by recent floods and landslides in different parts of Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) has contributed US$ 100,000, around Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund for support of people affected by recent floods and landslides in different parts of Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the KOSEP on Wednesday, Jaewon Chang, the CEO of KOSEP, handed over the check to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara.


According to the statements, KOSEP delegates are in Nepal to support flood survivors as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The statement further added that the Nepal Water & Energy Development Company (NWEDC) Pvt Ltd has also contributed Rs 546,300 to the flood survivors. KOSEP is the main investor of Upper Trishuli-1Hydroelectric Project, while NWEDC is a company registered in Nepal for the development of Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project.
