KATHMANDU, August 26: The team of Kathmandu Metropolis reached the office of the Department of Passport (DoP) in Tripureshwor and removed the materials and other structures in the underground parking area on Friday.
The team led by Mayor Balen Shah included city police personnel and Metropolitan Traffic Police personnel to inspect the underground parking areas of the DoP.

Raju Pandey, Chief of City Police of Kathmandu Metropolis, said that the basement has been prepared for the purpose of parking and other structures including materials put in other purposes have been removed. He said that the government agencies themselves should also be aware of the provision of parking space.
The DoP is crowded with thousands of service seekers every day. However, due to lack of parking facilities, they have to park their vehicles in the nearby streets.
