KARNALI, Nov 2: Govinda Prasad Kalauni, chief of Karnali Province, has called on the provincial assembly members to stake claim to the post of chief minister of the province.
Province Chief Kalauni has called on the members of the provincial assembly to stake their claim for the post by 7:30 PM today.

Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi resigned from his post on Monday.
Chief Minister Shahi, who belongs to the CPN (Maoist Center), resigned from the post after three years and eight months in office as per a ‘gentleman agreement’ to hand over power to the Nepali Congress (NC). He had fallen into a minority after the split of CPN-UML earlier this year.
