Indian actor, producer and self-acclaimed Bollywood film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan, known as KRK, was arrested by Mumbai Police on Tuesday. He was arrested for the controversial tweets he made on late Bollywood actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor in 2020.

According to reports by the Indian media, KRK has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
According to the report of ANI, he was arrested after he landed at Mumbai airport. He was presented before the Borivali court on Tuesday. Rahul Kanal, Core Committee Member of Yuva Sena (A youth wing of Shiv Sena) had filed a complaint against KRK and an FIR was registered against him on April 30, 2020.
The FIR states that KRK is regularly spreading hatred on social media. Earlier, KRK faced backlash for his tweet on Virat Kohil’s mental health, in which he blamed Anushka Sharma as the cause of Kohil’s depression.
