Jajarkot-Dolpa road obstructed

JAJARKOT, July 1: Jajarkot-Dolpa road has been disrupted since this morning. Transport service has been halted after road disruption due to a landslide at Nalgad Municiplaity-8, Maluwa in Jajarkot.

JAJARKOT, July 1: Jajarkot-Dolpa road has been disrupted since this morning. Transport service has been halted after road disruption due to a landslide at Nalgad Municiplaity-8, Maluwa in Jajarkot. 



Locals of Rukum-West, Dolpa and Jajarkot districts are facing hardship due obstruction of the vehicular movement. 


Nalgad Municipality Mayor Dambar Rawat said efforts are underway to clear off the road.

The road section has been disrupted frequently due to fragile roads and steep terraces. 


The road which was constructed by the Nepal Army is now under the process of upgradation. 


Passengers of Dolpa have been stranded since this morning when the air service was completely halted due to bad weather conditions. 


Locals said it would take a long time to carry out maintenance as big boulders are blocking the road.
