British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking is known for his contribution to cosmology, general relativity and quantum gravity. Perhaps his most popular publication to date remains ‘A Brief History of Time’, which came out in 1988 and went on to become a bestseller. His writings also span a series of children’s fiction books.
