Inebriated temporary police beat villagers in Pyuthan

PYUTHAN, May 8: Inebriated temporary police have beaten villagers black and blue in the district. 



They beat the locals at Khung in Gaumukhi Rural Municipality while they were sleeping.


Police, however,  have not made the incident public which took place on Saturday night.

Those who were involved in the incident are Shishir Malla, Kishor Malla, Rajendra KC, Ramesh Malla, and Sharad KC.


Kishor and Sharad are among those temporary police who had gone to the village for training after recruitment.


They beat Puna KC, Lok Bahadur Thapa and Ashmita Thapa of Gaumukhi Rural Municipality.


Under the influence of alcohol, the youths also pelted beer bottles and stones at the government jeep with registration no. Lu 1 Ja 2024 parked near the office.


The incident came to the fore after the victims complained to the police about the case.


The police said they are investigating the case after taking the temporary police involved in the incident into custody.
