CHITWAN, Aug 23: India's Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has said India was ever ready to cooperate in Nepal's development endeavors further consolidating the bilateral ties.

Talking to journalists briefly here Tuesday, he said recent Nepali Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi's India visit was successful.

Development of Nepal carries a significant meaning for India, he said, adding that a high-level delegation and the Indian Prime Minster would visit Nepal once Nepal's Prime Minister's India visit takes place.

"India takes Nepal's tourism sector significantly," the Indian Ambassador said.

Stating that India never had its role in government change in Nepal, he insisted on promoting religious tourism for the development of Nepal. Preparations were on to link Nepal's tourist destinations with Indian major towns by air route, he said, adding that he would help promote tourism sectors in both countries. RSS
