Independent candidate Hamal takes the lead in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City

DHANGADHI, June 29: Independent candidate Gopal Hamal is taking the lead in the race for the mayor of the only Sub-metropolitan City in Province 7-Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City with 41 votes.

DHANGADHI, June 29: Independent candidate Gopal Hamal is taking the lead in the race for the mayor of the only Sub-metropolitan City in Province 7-Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City with 41 votes.



His closest rival Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Nirpa Oda has garnered 40 votes.

Likewise, CPN(Maoist Center) mayoral candidate Ram Samaj Rana is in the third position with 10 votes while CPN-UML mayoral candidate Durga Joshi is in the fourth position with 4 votes.


71 percent of voters cast their votes in the election held on Wednesday, according to District Election Office.
