KATHMANDU, May 15: An independent candidate Lopthang Chemdol (Raju) Bista has been elected as chief of Dalome village municipality in Mustang district.

He secured 755 votes while his nearest rival Dhoka Gurung of CPN-UML secured 601 votes, according to district police chief DSP Harihar Yogi.
