KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Speaker Onsari Gharti on Sunday said that the impeachment motion against suspended CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki and constitution amendment process will reach a conclusion through a consensus.
Speaking after a Deuis-Bhailo program organized by Reporters’ Club, Gharti said “I am confident that the constitution will be amended through consensus as parties are discussing the issue.”
She further shared that the impeachment motion too will reach a logical conclusion on a consensus among the parties.
Stressing that all three levels of election—local, provincial and national—will be held within the deadline through a political consensus, Speaker Gharti said that necessary laws are being formulated on a war footing.
She was of the opinion that unity among political parties is a must to drive the country toward prosperity by implementing the constitution.
