Rawal's name was included in the list of 301 members made public by Chairperson Oli at midnight on Monday, calling for a consensus. Rawal said despite his name being on the electronic voting machine, he has not given any candidacy for it.

The candidates for UML office-bearers are automatically nominated as candidates for the Central Committee. Rawal clarified that he had only filled the form for the post of chairperson. He said that he would continue to work in the interest of the country, the people and democracy. The voting, which started at 4AM today,  is still going on.
