I take unpleasant decision to keep glory of judiciary-CJ

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has said that he took an unpleasant decision to not allocate bench to senior-most justice of the Supreme Court Deepak Raj Joshee so as to keep image of the court high.

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has said that he took an unpleasant decision to not allocate bench to senior-most justice of the Supreme Court Deepak Raj Joshee so as to keep image of the court high. 



In a meeting with Nepal Bar Association Chairperson Sher Bahadur KC and his team today, chief justice Rana said he had to take the decision for the sake of apex court's glory despite disinterest.

"I have come to the apex court to deliver justice to the country and the people", Rana said, adding that he would ready to strip of his post if injustice was done to judiciary and country. 


NBA Chairperson KC had enquired about the apex court's decision to not designate bench to the senior-most justice Joshee. The NBA delegation also urged the chief justice Rana to explore outlet on consensus amicably.
