KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that he is focused on NC’s parliamentary party leader election.
General Secretary Thapa, a prospective candidate for the post of new prime minister, said he is preparing to fight for the NC’s PP leadership position. The parliamentary party leader of the largest party in parliament, which forms a new government with majority support, is guaranteed the post of prime minister.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu by the Women's Security Pressure Group, Nepal on Wednesday, Thapa mentioned that he is busy in various programs to thank the voters of his constituency until Friday, and then will make necessary preparations to fight for the PP leader’s post.
General Secretary Thapa also said that a new council of ministers will be formed within a few days.
