KATHMANDU, July 7: Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) has announced to build International Rescue Center in Ramnagar of Bouddha, Kathmandu.
Speaking at an interaction with tourism journalists, HRA President Narendra Dev Bhatta said that the association would be built in four ropanis of land with an investment of Rs 75 million.
Similarly, Prithvi Shrestha, the general secretary of HRA, said that HRA has been providing free health service to trekkers and Nepali support staff from its aid posts of Manang in Annapurna Region and Pheriche of Everest Region. He also said that the association has been operating health camps as and when needed in different mountainous and hilly regions.
Every year the association has been providing health service to more than 4,500 patients suffering from altitude sickness every year, said Prakash Adhikari, the chief executive of HRA.
During the program, president of Journalists' Association for Tourism-Nepal, Devi Prasad Pant, said that JAT Nepal will prioritize dissemination of positive stories related to Nepali tourism industry.
